My cousins and I went to American Tap Room

 for Sunday brunch on May 25, 2014.

Inside..

At the end of this hall is where we were seated. 

And on my right was this guy. Ü

To start.

 And we all had the Sunday Brunch buffet..

ღ Mango French Toast

Crunchy outside, soft, creamy and flavorful inside.

Plus it was more than just mango.

Bacon and sausage..

The bacon side is gone!

But they refilled it. Ü

Chicken and waffles

Which I just took the waffles which was not so thick,

just the way I like it, and added other toppings.

 Cream, syrup and yummy yummy fruits!

Mini croissants and muffins.

ღ Chocolate chip cookies! 

Dirt in a Jar ingredients.

Ta-dah!

This brunch place was so nice.

I took another serving of the waffles with fruits and the mango french toast,

plus I took a cookie for the road too.

Melt Gourmet Cheeseburgers - Leesburg, VA (USA)

My new BIL brought us to Melt on February 23, 2014.

As you enter..

There's a few seats on the right and that's it.

One of my never-full brothers tried this.

The Stout Beer Milkshake $7.25

I don't like beer even if it comes in a form of a milkshake.

Bacon Cheeseburger $9.95

Look how thick the patty is.

My vegetarian sister made me share with her.

Ahi Tuna Burger $14.95

It was not satisfying enough.

But this is what I liked.

ღ Onion rings $4.50

And I'm not even fond of onion rings but I liked this one,

so it must be goodie.

Fries $2.95

Burger $6.95

Bacon Blue Burger $9.95

Philz Coffee - Mission District, San Francisco, CA (USA)

Another coffee shop that Roms wanted me to try was Philz Coffee.

We walked towards here on February 21, 2014.

It was rugged and looked unfinished.

Which I liked.

Because sometimes, places that don't focus a lot on their look,

..serves the best coffee / food.

And this was one of those places.

 Get the pun? Ü

Philharmonic - medium roast - small $3.00

Cardamom - Cinnamon - Plum

Comes with fresh mint leaves.

I definitely chose a flavor I liked. 

For every sip I took I remember saying in my head "This is so good."

Brenda's French Soul Food - Polk St., San Francisco, CA (USA)

A lot of my friends here in SF said that I should visit Brenda.

So I did. On February 21, 2014.

Name sounds appetizing. "French SOUL food" 

Presentation.. Not so much.

Red beans & Rice - Oh So Nice! $11.00

Smoky, spicy stewed kidney beans with steamed white rice

& andouille sausage.

It wasn't "oh so nice"

Bowl Gumbo $7.50 

 We also had sides of this because they said it was a must.

 Thigh BFC $3.00 each

 Drumstick BFC $2.75

Oh so dry and bland.

And another side of this.

Cheddar grits $3.25

Now at least this one looked appetizing.. 

But I still didn't like it.

This was when I decided I don't like grits at all.

The reviews on this place was really good,

Roms and Pierre was actually surprised that our experience that day

wasn't as good as they hoped.
