Just Betty

When I am happy with what I am eating, my tail(bone) wiggles!
I am not a food critique, I believe that taste in food is highly subjective, and I just want to share mine. Ü

Toyose - Noriega St., San Francisco, CA (USA)

Roms, her friend Caroline and I went to Toyose on February 20, 2014.
It was very easy to miss.

Unless you purposely were looking for it.
We almost didn't know if the place was open or not.

But we just tried.

And look at the red button on this wall.

A call button. Yay!

I wanted this.
ღ Japchae $9.95
I was really craving for something noodle-y and this hit the spot.

Roms wanted this.
ღ Spicy Chicken Wings $12.95
This was really tasty for me and the meat was juicy too.

Caroline wanted this.
Seafood pancake $12.95
This one is just like any seafood pancake in Korean restaurants back home,
so it's just so so for me.

Wing Stop - Gilroy, CA (USA)

Anna brought me to Wing Stop on February 16, 2014.

As we entered..

On the left..

Our seat..

Refill station.

Our orders..

Large fries $2.99

15 pcs wings $15.99 + $3.49 for 5 pcs more
 Garlic Parmesan
It's not the same as my favorite Garlic Parmesan back home,
Red Buffalo in eastwood and ghtc,
but I'm always open to new ways of how this is served like Sunrise Buckets'.

However, this time, I don't think I was impressed.
The Parmesan cheese, though it was very generous, just fell off the chicken.

Now, this. This was impressive.
ღ Lemon Pepper
And for someone like me that doesn't like sour stuff,
I was surprised I liked it.
Juicy chicken and flavorful.

Chef Diego's Lord of the Wings, Maginhawa Ω

Bochogs celebrated Rap's last day on July 30, 2013

Some things displayed inside..

Let's get to the orders..

Of course we had some wings..
Garlic Parmesan 6pcs P175

1 order is not enough for these people.

Basket of Fries P105

Some pastas..
Summer Pasta P150

Crispy Adobo Pasta P160

I'm not fond of pastas that are that thick.

And the bochog with sensitive teeth had this again.
Fish and Chips P160

When it comes to Garlic Parmesan flavored wings,
I still prefer Red Buffalo's or Sunrise Bucket's.

Taste lies in the mouth of the beholder.

Disclaimer: I don't think that this establishment serves bad food,
their dishes just did not make my tail wiggle.

Sunrise Buckets, Madison Square and The Grove

My friend Iya got addicted to Sunrise Bucket's buffalo wings so I had to see why.

I tried it out last September 12, 2012 in Madison Square.

The place sure has a lot of surfboards hanging around.

How many surfboards did you see?

We went on a Wednesday because Iya wanted to avail this:
Told ya she was addicted.

Iya got this flavor for 1 pound of the 21/2 pounds.
Extra Hot Real American Buffalo Wings
She ate that all on her own.

And got this flavor for the other 11/2 pounds:
Sunrise Original
Which Mel and I shared.

I ate the wings with this.
Hefty fries P60 (solo)

Nothing made my tail wiggle here.

But I liked their surfboard bench message.

We went to their The Grove branch a week after.
Like I said, Iya was addicted.

I tried a different flavor this time.

ღ 1/2 pound Garlic Parmesan P220
There were so many garlic parmesan powder, YUM!

I don't drink beer.

So I had this instead.
Imported Rootbeer P100 (IBC)

I liked the Garlic Parmesan so much, I went back with Puti and tried other stuff too.
Chili cheese fries P175 (to share)

1/2 pound Honey Mustard P220

Still Garlic Parmesan FTW.
