Mitchell's Ice Cream - San Francisco, CA (USA)

We went to Mitchell's for dessert after our Toyose dinner.

Too many flavors to choose from makes it harder to decide.

On the left side of the store.

There were so many people I almost gave up on getting one.

Coz I was getting two.
Strawberry and New York Cherry

Double Scoop $5.20

It was yummy yet I still liked Bi-Rite better.

Nothing Bundt Cakes- Fremont, CA (USA)

Anna then insisted that we get some mini bundt cakes to go.

Inside..

On the right..

On the left..

There's a free sampling of their product..

And here's what we took home.

A dozen mini bundt cakes!

See how tiny?

I started with..
White Chocolate Raspberry

Moist and not too sweet.

Anna said she likes their cream cheese frosting.
Marble

I like my frosting the way they do it in a kid's birthday cake.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip

I would say this is what I like out of the 3 I tasted.
Because the chocolate wasn't too sweet while the rest,
though it wasn't too sweet either,
lacked the dessert-y feel to it.

I didn't try the red velvet.
Not fond of it.
Plus it was Anna's favorite so it's all good.

Snowflake - Fremont, CA (USA)

We got some Snowflake to-go to go with our drive thru In-N-Out.

Inside, we placed and paid for our orders.

We waited outside..
They have a heater of some sort.

And this is how Anna and Darren waited.

I tried one of their drinks..
Taro Milk Tea $3.95

ღ Mango Snow $7.95

This was really good.
The texture wasn't too icy, so it doesn't hurt your tongue.
You can also really tell that it's mango.
And it's also very creamy.
Mmm mmm m m m!

Hanji House of Desserts, Timog

We tried Hanji after our dinner at Manong's Bagnet.

We saw their very bright signage lights from across the street.

Turns out, it was their first day opening and is on 20% off! Yay!
Coconut Juice Pomelo & Mango w/ Ice Cream P109

I was really excited to try this because I am a fan of the classic mango sago
in chinese restaurants.

Mango & Gelatin with Ice Cream P109

Coconut Juice & Black Rice with Mango P98

But since it was their first day, their desserts were not yet that perfect.
For me, it lacked taste. Or it all tasted the same.

Mr. Hanji also gave us free gelatos to try.
Discounts are good but free is better. Ü

Mr. Hanji said that they are still adjusting their gelato, they make it themselves.

BONO Artisanal Gelato, The Podium and SM Makati

For Christmas month, whenpigswiggle will light up the season
by sharing light food posts. ;)

Above photo taken from Bono's Facebook page

I made Bochogs try Bono after our Borough dinner.

I've been hearing a lot of raves about their gelato..

And I got curious what the fuss is about.

I chose this flavor.
Dark Chocolate P130
It was good the first few licks, it probably would have been better if I got 1 more scoop of a different flavor pang tanggal umay

But I did not give up.
I tried it again with Tin after our Ginza Bairin dinner.

This time I got this.

Coffee Honeycomb P130
Better. But not as good as the people who raved about it described it to be.

But wait, there's more.
I tried Bono once more after ahya, mumsy and I had dinner at Santouka.
ღ Speculoos P200
(2 scoops because mumsy is addicted to speculoos)

Now, this one was better than the last one I tried.
You just have to get the right flavor for your buds.

Dessert Specialist + Fog City Creamery, Scout Reyes

For Christmas month, whenpigswiggle will light up the season
by sharing light food posts. ;)

Sweetie, Bey and I tried went to Dessert Specialist on June 10, 2013.

View inside.

On their window is this.

Sweetie and I got curious so we tried it.

It was so frozen we couldn't dig in with our spoons
so they lent us a scooper.

We also had to wait a while before we can dig in.
But for Bey, that was not a problem.
The ice cream was not a smooth as I expected or as I wanted it to be.

I went back to try their cream puffs one day.
Cream puff P70

I've tried local cream puffs before and for some reason,
they can't make the bread taste fresh. But this one didn't taste bad.

Although, of course, I like Dulcinea's better.
