Ang Mo Kio, Podium Ω

Above photo taken from Ang Mo Kio's Facebook page.

We had our family dinner at Ang Mo Kio on April 21, 2013.

Because my mumsy got this in Metrodeal:

When I asked her how much she got the voucher for, she does not remember.

So these are the things we got:

Of course the chicken we came here for.

Whole Hainanese Chicken with 4 rice and vegetables P998

Char Kway Teow P268

Roasted Pork P288

My expectation was not met.
I thought it would be like how yummy Nasi Lemak was.

Taste lies in the mouth of the beholder.

Disclaimer: I don't think that this establishment serves bad food,
their dishes just did not make my tail wiggle.

Smokin' Hot Bar BQ, Greenbelt 3

Above photo taken from their Facebook page.

We tried Smokin' Hot BarBQ on September 18, 2013

We were 5 girls and these are the things we ordered.
Ensaladang Kangkong P80

 Lechong Kawali P260

Inihaw na Liempo P260

 And of course, their specialty:
ღ Smokin' Barbq chicken (half) P365
This was the best! It was tender, juicy and tasty!

We also had rice too. We chose their 2 best sellers.
 Aligue rice P135

ღ Black rice P190
Though they said that the 1st bestseller is their Aligue rice,
this was the more popular one on our table.

Probably because it has a spicy kick to it.

Nomnomnom Happy Food, Tomas Morato Ω

I went to Nomnomnom one fine day on April 13, 2013.

The place was kinda nice.

Cottage-y? (if that's a word)

On the wall.

 Where I sat.

[View from my left]

[At the end of the row of chairs]

They were selling these on the side too.
hmmm..

I wasn't that hungry and really just wanted to see the place.
I ordered this first.
Squashing pumpkins P90
Too much garlic bits, not the kind of bits that would go down smoothly.
And also too many croutons. I don't like croutons.

Smoked Salmon Crostini P160
Again, too much garlic bits. And too big garlic bits.
They're hiding under the salmon.

See them?

This is my favorite part.
Always. ღ

Fresh Selections, Maginhawa Ω

We had our family dinner at Fresh Selections last April 7, 2013.

This small store sure has a lot of customers.

And the turn over were fast too.

We had 2 of this.
Lemon chicken P75

Cha Misua P60

and
Hungarian Sausage P80

I liked the fact that all the food were so affordable!
The taste isn't bad too, just normal.

Nothing to wiggle here about.

Red Garlic Bistro Cafe, Katipunan branch now in Taguig

Above photo taken from Red Garlic's Facebook page.

We had our family dinner at Red Garlic, Katipunan branch, last March 31, 2013.

When we got there, there was a buffet available.

Very tempting.

Mmmm..

But the dishes we wanted to order were not part of the buffet
so we ordered ala carte.

Nice touch with their almost camouflage print on the papermat.

 First up.
Roasted Pumpkin Soup with Tyrolian Bacon P225

Mumsy had meat that should be easy to chew.
**Barcelona (Lengua Con Setas) P420
Tender slices of ox tongue with creamy white sauce

See her patiently waiting while grasping her fork
as I finish taking a photo of her food?
Hihi.

Diya had this.
Cajun Style Baby Back Ribs P455
Fall-off-the-bones glazed with Smoked Tangy Apple Barbecue Sauce
and seved with Garlic-Parsley rice

I, of course, had this.
 Baked Norwegian Salmon Duo P430
North Atlantic salmon fillet basted with 2 special flavors
Basil - Pistachio and Smoked Jabanero Cream
served with Mango Salsa and Garlic Parsley rice

Note to self: You like RAW salmon. Not cooked. Nor baked. Raw.

And I just had water in this slanted glass.

Ahya's order was this
only because all his other orders were not available that night.
ღ **Thai Barbecue Sampler P365

I liked this the best!
It was a fortunate accident. Ü

Then we got this for free!
Santiago Chili Poppers (valued at P255)

Because mumsy used her Citibank card.
For a minimum bill of P1000, get a free Santiagao Chili Poppers.

The best things in life are freeeee!
